State Testing and Reporting (STAR)

The Standardized Testing and Reporting Program is the cornerstone of the California assessment system. STAR is designed to measure how well students are achieving the California standards in English, math, science and social science. All students in grades two through eleven must participate each year by taking the appropriate California Standards Test in each of these areas. Results for both district and individual school level STAR assessments can be viewed at the California Department of Education's STAR website.
