PRESS RELEASE- Back to School for Campbell Union High School District Schools- What’s New for the 2019-2020 School Year?
San Jose, California- August 12, 2019, marks the first day of school for more than 8,200 students across six high school sites in Campbell Union High School District (CUHSD).
“We look forward to creating new possibilities for students this school year with several exciting additions to our campuses including new facilities thanks to the Measure AA construction bond,” said CUHSD Superintendent Robert Bravo.
Among other renovations, Leigh and Branham High Schools will have new two-story classroom buildings and Westmont, Del Mar and Branham High Schools will have new swimming pools this school year.
Additionally, CUHSD continues to expand and grow its technology initiatives. Prospect High School will become the second school in the District to implement the one-to-one Chromebook program, which provides a computer with internet access to every student.
“We are dedicated to providing modernized classrooms and learning environments to better prepare our students so they can graduate high school with the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to construct their futures, “ said Bravo.
The District plans to host several ribbon-cutting ceremonies throughout the school year to invite the community to view the new upgrades and renovations to the campuses. More information about the ceremonies will be provided soon. For back to school information including important dates and events, head to www.cuhsd.org.
