CUHSD Recognizes Monday, October 14 as Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Campbell Union High School District (CUHSD) is recognizing today, Monday, October 14, as Indigenous Peoples' Day. The Board of Trustees adopted a resolution in May of last year, to recognize the second Monday of October as Indigenous Peoples' Day. This is in an effort to honor a more accurate historical record of the discovery of the United State of America.

Indigenous Peoples' Day promotes Native American culture and commemorates Native American history. All CUHSD schools are encouraged to utilize this week as an opportunity to reflect upon the history, struggles and accomplishments of indigenous people, and celebrate the thriving cultures and values of the indigenous people in our region.
