CUHSD Project Lead the Way Students Win at NextFlex FlexFactor Finals

Congratulations to the teams from Westmont, Branham and Leigh High School who participated in the NextFlex FlexFactor finals. With the support of the Project Lead the Way teachers, CUHSD students pitched innovative and industry-changing ideas to a panel of experts and took home top prizes in the competition! Out of the eight teams from three school districts across the county, CUHSD schools took home first, second and third place.

First Place: Branham High School's team Enfire (a smart gun with a built-in locking mechanism and GPS tracking to help police officers track stolen guns)

Second Place: Westmont High School's team Hydroprotect
(Following the death of a fellow Westmont High School student last year, students created a device designed to prevent hydroplaning)

Third Place: Branham High School's team Connect-a-Crop (a device focused on plant growth that communicates information to farmers)
