From food donations to clothing drives, CUHSD students and staff are dedicated to giving back this holiday season.

Westmont High School’s Associated Student Body delivered care packages to the homeless population in St. James Park on December 6. Through the generous donations from the Westmont community, the students distributed blankets, jackets, hats, gloves, sandwiches, water, socks, toiletries, laundry detergent, and more to those in need this holiday season.

Leigh High School’s Interact club members partnered with Xilinx, a silicon valley technology company, to donate fleece scarves to children in need on December 5. Students spent their lunch break making 50 scarves for the Sacred Heart Community Service.

Prospect’s Culture of Service Club has collected $800 and 1,807 pounds of food for Second Harvest Food Bank so far this holiday season. Second Harvest Food Bank is one of the largest food banks in the nation. The organization collects donations and provides food to more than a quarter of a million people in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties every month.
